Parent Advisory Council

The DTSS Parent Advisory Council is the collective voice of parents advocating for students at David Thompson Secondary.   The PAC groups in School District 6 exist to support, encourage and improve the quality of education and the well being of students by:

  • Exchanging ideas and information among PACs in the district.
  • Providing information about educational and community matters to parents and Parent Advisory Councils.
  • Providing the parental voice to educational decision-making organizations affecting the School District

Each year, as part of a continuous improvement cycle, Rocky Mountain School District develops an operational plan that outlines the goals and strategies that will be the focus of the work for the upcoming year. This plan is guided by the current 4-year strategic plan using a variety of student data as the foundation for decision making, schools develop school success plans that identifies targets for improving student learning.
