DTSS Student Council organizes and coordinates various activities throughout the school year.
In the past they have:
- Collaborated with the Columbia Valley Interact Club to host the Hunger Banquet at DTSS.
- Organized junior and senior dances.
- Organized Spirit Week, which included theme days such as Crazy Hat Day, Grade Colour Day, Dynamic Duos, wear Lakers Colours Day
The DTSS Climate Action Club works to help make the world and DTSS a better place! They are always looking for new members!
Meetings are held weekly every Thursday @ Lunch in Mrs. Rievaj's room (232).
So far they have:
- Distributed plants around the school
- Talked to local government about climate action
- Cleaned up the school grounds

The Mountain Bike Club had a great fall start kicking up dirt on the Johnson Trails, cruising down Swansea and braving the first snow fall on Castle Rock.
Watch for announcements in the Spring, where we will also have a focus on competing in XC and Enduro, meeting up with schools around the region.

Each year, as part of a continuous improvement cycle, Rocky Mountain School District develops an operational plan that outlines the goals and strategies that will be the focus of the work for the upcoming year. This plan is guided by the current 4-year strategic plan using a variety of student data as the foundation for decision making, schools develop school success plans that identifies targets for improving student learning.
